During the month of April, the North Carolina Literary Review is accepting submissions for two contests this year: the James Applewhite Poetry Prize (est. 2011) and the new Jaki Shelton Green Performance Poetry Prize, sponsored by the North Carolina Poetry Society.
These contests are open to any writer who fits the NCLR definition of a North Carolina writer: anyone who currently lives in North Carolina, has lived in North Carolina, or uses North Carolina as subject matter.
